Questions
How do I find the BPM of a song?
Play the song and tap the button (or any key) on every beat, usually where you'd tap your foot. After four to eight taps the BPM settles. Keep tapping for a more accurate average.
What BPM is a normal song?
Most pop and rock songs are between 90 and 130 BPM. Ballads are often 60–80, and dance music is usually 120–130.
Why does the BPM jump around?
The counter averages your last eight taps. Tap steadily for a few seconds; the steadiness score shows how even your taps are. Pausing for two seconds starts a new measurement.
What if the song feels twice as fast?
You may be tapping eighth notes. Tap half as often, on the strong beats, or halve the number.
