Questions

What's the fastest way to learn to read notes?

Learn a few landmark notes first (treble G, middle C, bass F) and read other notes as steps or skips from them. Then drill a few minutes every day. Speed comes from short, frequent practice.

How do I remember the treble clef notes?

The spaces spell FACE from bottom to top. The lines, bottom to top, are E G B D F: 'Every Good Burger Deserves Fries'.

How do I remember the bass clef notes?

The spaces from bottom to top are A C E G ('All Cows Eat Grass'), and the lines are G B D F A ('Good Boys Do Fine Always').

What are ledger lines?

Short extra lines above or below the staff for notes that are too high or low to fit. Middle C sits on one ledger line below the treble staff or above the bass staff.
