Questions
How accurate is this metronome?
It schedules clicks with the Web Audio clock, the same technique used by music apps, so the timing stays steady even if the page is busy. Keep the tab in front for the best results.
How do I practice with a metronome?
Start slow enough to play perfectly, even 60 BPM. When you can play a passage cleanly three times in a row, raise the tempo by 4–5 BPM.
What does subdivision mean?
Extra softer clicks between beats. Eighths add one click per beat, triplets add two, and sixteenths add three. They help with rhythmically busy passages.
What time signature should I use?
Use 4 beats per bar for most pop and rock, 3 for waltzes, 6 for 6/8 feel (or 2 beats with triplets), and 5 or 7 for odd meters.
