Questions

What are the easiest ukulele chords?

C (0003), Am (2000), F (2010) and G (0232). With those four chords you can play hundreds of songs.

How is a ukulele tuned?

Standard tuning is G C E A, with the G string tuned higher than the C (re-entrant tuning). Low G tuning drops that G an octave for a deeper sound.

Do baritone ukulele chords use guitar shapes?

Yes. A baritone ukulele is tuned D G B E, like the top four strings of a guitar, so its chord shapes match those strings.

How do you read the numbers under a chord?

Numbers list the fret for each string from the G string to the A string. 0 means open. For example, 2010 is F major.
